About the event
Is there a book on your shelf that has seen better days and have been thinking it should be repaired? There are many ways to treat book damage (hint: tape is not one of them!). The factors to consider include materials, budget, sentiment, financial value, and who will do the work (you or a trained professional). Book restorer Sophia Bogle will talk over the various points to think on when it comes to repairing a beloved book. During our hour with Sophia you will learn how to assess your books and how to decide who should do the treatment. Feel free to bring a book or two to have evaluated during the talk; let your book become part of the learning experience for everyone!
