About the event
Lecture Title: "Passionately Printed Prints"
Christa Carleton was introduced to Printmaking in the early 2000's but it wasn't until 2012 that she even learned Letterpress existed. Through this personal discovery a love of words found a place in her artwork. In her lecture she'll discuss getting the "letterpress bug" and how this has affected her creative practice–and why moving 1,000lb printing presses across the United States seems like a good way to spend your time. Christa will also share a few secrets about how to source printing equipment in what seems like the letterpress desert known as Montana. Gallery open for viewing through April 2024.
